She said that was possible, so we stayed at the hotel, only to find out that I had been charged for the cancelled room AND FOR ANOTHER ROOM. They told me that they could not refund my money so I asked her if she could just regain the room I had cancelled. I was charged for the room right away, so I called reservations to have them reinstate the room, since I realized I was paying for the room anyway (I thought the kids could at least go bowling or something).
I cancelled, but then realized that the hotel has a 48 hour cancellation policy though I had booked the room the day before. I had second thoughts about the need to book the room, since we just live an hour and 1/2 away. I booked a room last Saturday because my family and I were heading out to Valley of Fire.
